How to maintain your mane

Amazing Beauty Cheats - Hair

*Also, try not to wash your hair everyday unless you have really oily scalp, especially if you have long hair as shampooing can really dry out the hair.

If you are interested to know which hair salon I go to, it would KENARIS hair salon at WHEELOCK PLACE.

  1. I believe it’s true that using hair dryer spoils your hair but i believe you still have to use it to keep your scalp dry otherwise it will be a perfect breeding ground for bacteria and sooner or later, you’ll get dandruff!

My hairstylist suggested using warm temperature to dry the scalp before you switch to the cold temperature for drying your hair overall.

Hope this helps… if i’m wrong, correct me! ;)

    • Hi Danielle! Thank you for sharing your tip as well as the suggestion from your hairstylist. Yes of course, at times you just need to use the hairdryer before you can curl/straighten your hair and blowing your hair at a cool setting is definitely a better option, just like washing your hair with cold water.

You should use warm/cold water, not hot, when washing hair as hot water is bad for hair and strips it of color. This applies to hair-drying as well. Washing your hair with cold water and finishing off blow-drying at a cool setting gives hair the extra shine and locks in hydration so you hair will not look dry. :)

  2. Hi Fay! I’m a new reader and I love your blog! Was wondering which hairstylist you go to at Kenaris… =) thanks! Btw, you look great!

  3. Hi Fay!

I’ve just subscribed to your blog today despite having been an avid reader since mid last year :)

If I recall correctly, I think you had a video(?) or a post about this one hair product that helps with the problem of hair loss/thinning in the past – I’m not sure. It’s just that my hair’s pretty long (though not as long as yours!) and each time I wash it, more than a couple of strands fall off which makes me quite worried! Thing is, I can’t seem to find that post/video since :(

Could you help me out? xxxxx
