A mid-week evening run keeps me sane and gives me the energy I need to prep for the weekend

Quotes: It’s Not About What You Do…

It’s not about what you do. It’s about who you are. It’s not about who you are right now. It’s about who you could be. It’s not about what could go wrong. It’s about what will go right...

Your Say

Thank you for all your emails, concerns and continued support on my blog. I am still working on some health & beauty articles, which I will share with you as soon as it's done! For now, here are some of the emails I've received from my dear readers...

"Hi Fay! Well dun noe if you can read this email, but but but I love your blog to my core! I read ur blog now like every single day! Im lovin it! And especially the places u went! I went to LIMON RESTAURANT to spend my new years eve dinner with a someone special there, and, you must noe this, WE LOVE IT  and definitely will make a comeback!!!" - A.K.

"I recently came across your site through youtube. I am Filipino, 17years old, 5ft, and 109lbs. I run three times a week and try to watch what i eat. I'm not really sure if you'll ever get around to reading this email and i am sure you get a lot like these but i was just curious about how you eat and work out. You have a really nice body (not to be creepy or anything) and your eyes have no bags or anything. How do you not have any bags under your eyes? Its always been a problem with me and I cant seem to get rid of it :( . If you have any eating or workout tips I would really appreciate it. I've been trying to get in shape for a long time but im not seeing any results from running which supposedly gives you a full body work out. You have that nice curve from on your hips to your thighs and for me there is a bump when i wear a bikini. I always see these pretty girls in magazines and movies and they have such nice bodies and skin like you and i wonder if that's actually real or achievable. I really want to be able to have the sort of confidence that you have and its something I really aspire towards.
thank you so much! You are really pretty!

Dear A, first and foremost, never ever compare yourself to what you see in TV/magazines! Sure, you can look at it as inspiration, but every body is different and it is important that you are aware that we all have different lifestyles. Some models & actresses hire a personal trainer and a nutritionist to achieve their dream body while others go for cosmetic surgery or even unhealthy diets. You will never know. It is good that you have are keeping active by running but that alone is not enough, you need to incorporate resistance training into your weekly workout, at least twice  a week if you wish to tone up. Do you feel a little sore after your workout, or do you just feel tired? You know that you are working on those muscles and on your way to a more toned body if you feel slightly achy or sore. Hey, no pain, no gain! I do have eyebags, but the right concealer and making sure I get 6-8 hours of sleep everyday helps. Eat healthily, stay active and drink plenty of water - that's the secret.

"I kinda got a response to your "It's so hard to forget pain, but it’s even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace..." quote.
Smiles are an indication of happiness right? Scars are only skin deep - even if they last "forever" they generally never go deeper than the surface.
Smiles - come from muscles - muscle memory lasts a lot longer than we 'remember'. s
o go ahead and try to find something good to workout those muscles, you'll be surprised at how quickly they "remember" everything.
Regardless if you stressed or just putting up nice quotes, life is bound to get better! I hate when people say its like a roller-coaster, because you kinda end up at the same point at the end of the ride. I'd like to think of life as a telephone cord. its got its ups and downs ups and downs and it'll get tangled and knotted, but in the overall big picture if you keep following that phone cord, you're always moving forward." -

Thank you to everyone who wrote in. I may not be able to reply to all of them, but I do read them and I feel the love!

Zen Ten

It's finally here. 2010. A fresh start. A new chapter. A fresh beginning.

ow many moments in life could you look back to and think 'That's when it all changed...'?

For me, that moment happened not too long.

There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment you must choose your direction. Will you fight to stay on the path while others tell you who you are? Or will you label yourself? Will you be honored by your choice? Or will you embrace your new path? Each morning you choose to move forward or to simply give up...

There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroad, afraid, confused, without a road map. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days. Of course when faced with the unknown, most of us prefer to turn around and go back.

Imagine a future moment in your life where all your dreams come true. You know it's the greatest moment of your life and you get to experience it with one person. Who's standing next to you?

The answers to these questions are closer than you think. You just need to have faith and keep believing in yourself. You're all you've got after all.

I started off my New Years Eve celebration at the Fullerton Hotel with some of my good friends. Rachel had to book the loft suite 2 months in advanced, but man, we had the sweetest view of the fireworks without having to scuffle the horde of people on the streets! I love watching fireworks. There's something magical about explosions in the sky...

Finally met Kenny Sia, who've been Twitter-friendly and uber generous with his dinner that night ;) Nobody needs to know what we ate.

He remembered me as 'Fay from withlovefay.com' - which I thought was funny cute!

My New Years Resolutions:

♡ Be more in touch with nature.

♡ Follow my instincts with more conscientiousness.

♡ Floss more often.

♡ Learn and do something new every day.

♡  Trying is having the intention to fail. Use the word 'try' less often.

♡ Take down my clever philosophical quotes on my iPhone (even when intoxicated).

♡ Use less paper.

♡ Eat more yogurt, soy milk, oranges, kiwis and broccoli - all are my favorite. Who says you can't have too much of the good stuff?

♡ Good karma derives from sincerity & honesty. Spread the love.

What're yours?
