My Story
When you look at a person, any person,
remember that everyone has a story.
Everyone has gone through something
that has changed them.
These photos make a part of my story.

Little hula girl. Hokulani was born.

You decide every moment of every day who you are and what you believe in. You get a second chance, every second.

I love collecting seashells.

Sometimes I wished life was as magical as Disney movies. Let's just say, it can be, sometimes.

I learned how to roller-blade on my own since I was about 10 years old. Key West, FL, circa 2007.

I LOVE SHOES!

500 Days of Summer is my favorite movie. And summer is my favorite season.

Life's a beach. I'm an island kinda girl. Big things happen in the city, but when all else fails, it's always nice to know that the ocean is bigger.

I'd take surfing over a closet full of shoes or clothes any day.

Sunset at the Batangas beach in Philippines was one of the most beautiful sunsets I'd ever seen. (And yes, as you can tell by my arms, I'm double-jointed.)

I love horseback riding
This was my first time riding a horse along the beach.

I love dressing up for Halloween!

Gummy candies are yummy. My weakness.

3 things I like about this photo: Milk green tea, my iPhone and that feel-good feeling after a great work out.

Peonies are love.
Distraction: A Common Work of Occurence
Does this happen to you?

It happens to me ALL the time...
Hosting for SCORE Season 1 & 2
Here are some photos from seasons 1 & 2 of SCORE - an entertainment program about the local arts scene with weekly battle of the sexes challenge between the hosts - myself and my co-host, Jibby - to see which sex is stronger when it comes to art.
I had some of the best memories shooting for this show. It's hard to believe that they discovered me from my blog! I received a casting booking for this show in late 2008 and it was the first audition I ever did for hosting. I got through the first round of auditions and went for my 2nd. Saw some familiar faces in the television industry, and immediately began to think that my chances were slim because I was inexperienced. To my surprise, they called me back the next day and told me I got the gig! I was STOKED! My first time appearing on TV and hosting a show. I was so happy to be given the opportunity and I had a helluva time on the job.

Season 2

Hey MTV Asia, when are ya going to give a homegrown, all-Asian girl the chance to be a host?
