I was in Singapore for a few days last week to see my friends and visit my grandfather at the hospital. He was admitted on Tuesday because he suffered a stroke due to a blood clot in his brain. The doctor said at first that if his condition didn't improve, he'd only have 1 week to live. All my relatives came down to see him, including my sister who lives in Japan. It was pretty much like a family reunion, everyone was there to show him their support. I was nice to see the whole family.

When I saw my grandy, the right half of his body was paralyzed and he could barely talk. I could see the pain in his eyes and it was heartbreaking to watch. But on Friday, he was able to lift his right arm and move his legs. His condition was vastly improving. By Saturday, he did therapy and he managed to get up by himself and walk. It was amazing to see how fast he was improving and how strong he is. I am so proud of him.

I left for KL the next day with a piece of mind, confident that he'll get better. I'll be going back to see him again in a week so I really hope he'll be discharged from the hospital by then.

Decided to get a tan this morning, it's been about a year since I got my tan on. Blame on the fact that modeling/talent agencies kept insisting that I stay away from the sun and try to stay fair. Asia.

So I was at the pool for 2 hours earlier and boy, had I forgotten how easily I tan! I've got 3 shades of color on my butt because I forgot to properly adjust my bikini bottom... God, I hate tanlines. And now for an update from my Blackberry camera...

Earlier today... Hawaiian Tropic tanning lotion is awesome.

Gym at the rooftop of my apartment...

I took the LRT from KL Sentral the other day for the first time!

Strangely, the cabins were pretty empty on a Tuesday at around 9.30am. I guess more people take the monorail.

Copped another one of Charles's protein bar. This one's pretty yummy. Good to carry around if you're going to be busy all day and need a meal replacement.

This is what I usually use for cooking pasta...

Pretty good wine! Very nice for a chill night-in.

Ribena with longan. A sweet treat! Albeit too sweet for my liking...

Saw 'BJ Saloon' as I was driving around town. Sounds pretty dodgy, no?

  1. Fay,

Let us know how your grandfather progresses. Let’s hope he will be okay.
However I am sure you are aware that all of us only have so much time on this little planet.

The use of sun screen would have kept your skin fair and protected.

Ask any dermatologist and you will be told there NO such thing as a healthy tan, any sun tan is a sign of early skin damage.

  2. I have been struggling trying to eat healthier and almost bought a red velvet cupcake earlier today. Then I opened my laptop and went to your website while I was still deciding. As soon as I saw your bikini pic my craving lessened and I ate an apple instead. Thanks fay for motivating me to lead a healthy lifestyle like you do! The more pictures you post of yourself, the more motivated I feel to continue exercising and eating healthily, because it makes me feel like a fit body is so much more attainable. (:

  3. Dwayne and I went to the De Bortoli restaurant for our first year anniversary. The food and wine was amazing but the chocolate honey gelato was just to die for! I am still thinking about it!

  4. I haven’t had the pleasure of trying the cough syrup (we did have it at the house, but others inhaled it haha) However, I have tried the cough drops and they are AH-MAZING!
