You’re not gonna get the butt you want by sitting on it! Start your day right and perk up with 3 of the best butt exercises you can do in the comfort of your own home. If you’re looking to make that gluteus maximus a little more minimus, you’ll love what you can get out of these few exercises. It is aimed to tone and lift your posterior giving you an added boost of confidence!
You'll need: Ankle weights (optional) and a bench.
You can do these workouts with or without ankle weights. I recommend starting out without the weights to get a feel of the range of motion. Then, progress with a 2lbs to 5lbs weighted bands on each leg for added resistance.

Booty Booster Workout #1 – Capoiera Squat
Strengthen and lengthen those legs with this exercise.
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and fists at your sides. Squat down as if sitting in a chair and extend your left leg directly behind your right ankle. Touch your right hand to the floor beside your right foot for support. Return to starting position and repeat with your right foot to complete the rep.
Do 3 sets of 12 reps.

Booty Booster Workout #2 – Superman Booty Lift
This is my one of my favorite exercises because it looks easy... until you try it!
You’ll need a bench. Lie face-down on the bench with legs hanging off. Keeping legs straight and hip-width apart, slowly lift them straight behind you as shown, squeezing butt as you hold for two counts; lower and repeat. Do 20 reps; rest for 20 seconds and repeat.

Booty Booster Workout #3 – Extended leg shoulder bridge
This is an great way to relieve tension in your lower back and work on your butt at the same time!
Lie on your back with knees bent, feet hip-width apart. Extend your left leg, point your toes and lift hips until your body is in alignment with your extended leg. Squeeze the glutes and hold the lifted position for 2 to 3 seconds then slowly lower hips to an inch above the ground. Keep the hands on the floor for more balance if needed. Repeat 20 times and switch legs.

For maximum results, combine these exercises with a 20 to 30 minute cardio workout. While there is no magic bullet for a smaller, rounder behind, there are many foods that are proven allies in burning off fat from the thighs and butt.
