Ride On!

Just taking a break... in Bali!

My favorite sports drink - Pocari Sweat! What do YOU like?

Sun, sea, surf and INDONESIAN FOOD! It's good for your body :P Mark & Karen would agree.

BOMB Mexican food at Mojo's Burritos. We ate here like 5 times while we were there! Hanging with Benson, Julie, Charles and BENTOOOO (aka David).

If you haven't heard of DJ Bento... Where on Earth have you been? Educate yourselves. Definitely download this mix for your gym playlist too.

The INDOs sure have a good sense of humor!

How I Celebrated Christmas & New Year’s Eve In 2011…

I'm so happy that I got to celebrate Christmas and New Year's with that special someone for the first time this year. He's usually back in Hong Kong to visit his family but he's postponed the trip until mid-Jan instead. We also planned a huge Bali trip with a bunch of friends after New Year so that's already a lot of traveling for the busy man at work.

So so proud of what he's doing, in fact, 2011 has been a great year for both us. If you asked me last year where I think I'd be in 2012, Kuala Lumpur will probably not be my first answer. But I've met some truly amazing friends here and opportunities seem to keep opening doors to endless possibilities that it has made my time here incredibly memorable. Looks like I'll be sticking around...

I'm grateful and feel blessed to have met so many genuine people here -  Sarah, the hitz.fm crew (JJ, Ean, Ray, Moots...), Josiah, Natacha, Cay, Julie, Patricia, Jeanette, Helen, Henry, Hansen, Kym and Dawn, just to name a few. The list goes on... You know who you are! :)

Been looking everywhere for this! My baby finally got it for me for Christmas. Someone on Facebook commented on this photo and said "That's an ugly purse." Hahaha! Well, he DID also get me a nice Coach handbag.

My home workout station is complete!

He also got me a subscription to Muscle & Fitness HERS. Blessed! Remember, knowledge is key! The more you know about nutrition and fitness, the more motivated you are to be healthy.

A Christmas present I got for myself (amongst other not-so important things)... A GYMBOSS TIMER! Perfect for High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) which I should definitely do more of.

Stocking up on supplements from Maxitone and Maximuscle. These are some of the products I've tried and really liked. 2012 is off to a FIT START! Will review them for you soon.

Hosted one of biggest NYE countdown events in KL with Joey G at The Curve. More than 15,000 people came to celebrate to watch the live performances and of course, the AMAZING fireworks!

The event also got HUGE press coverage! Read about it here.

Our first time celebrating New Year's together... :)

What NOT To Say To A Personal Trainer

I've been seeing a lot of these "Shit ___ Say" videos on YouTube and some are pretty damn hilarious. The first one I saw was "Shit Girls Say". And then there's "Shit Asian Girls Say"... Check out the rest on YouTube yourself but THIS ONE you definitely gotta watch... Some of the quotes are pretty dead on.

Shit Women Say To Personal Trainers

"I think I need somemore cardio."
"So, what do I have to eat to lose weight?"
"I feel like this is making me bulkier!"
"How many calories should I eat?"
"Squats, AGAIN?"
"I'll just do somemore cardio and I'll BURN IT OFF."
"Push ups? NOO aahhh."
"I'm like getting fatter. And then getting bulkier? And like, I exercise and eating healthier but like, nothing is happening."

I’m IN A Music Video!

Scored my FIRST music video appearance as the female lead in 'Love Like This'! The song is by Korean singer, Lee An, in collaboration with Malaysian violinist, Dennis Lau.

Listen to a snippet of the song here:

The shoot was a lot of fun but I was dead tired by the end of it because we shot everything in a day. We started at around 10am (the crew came even earlier to setup!) and wrapped up at just after midnight. The music video is set to be released on TV in a couple more weeks but meanwhile here's a little preview!

I play the love interest between both Lee An and Dennis in the music video. It was a "love triangle"...

Not easy to apply make-up when the weather's all warm and humid!

Does this remind you Twilight? Hehe :)

A quick snap with Lee An

Caught in a love triangle between Lee An & Dennis. What would happen in the end?

Stay tuned for the music video to find out!

Easy Tuna Dish – Make It In Less than 10 Minutes!

This is one of my favorite to-go meals that's fast and easy to make. The ingredients are basic and you can prepare this meal in less than 10 minutes!

You will need: Whole-grain pasta, canned tuna chunks (in water), cucumber, red onion, hard boiled eggs and black pepper. As usual, I like adding Thai chili to my meals and sometimes a dash of cayenne pepper too. Can't live without my spice! It's also good for your metabolism.

Quick and easy to make tuna meal.

Enjoy!

Esquire Girl – Christmas issue

Girl, Esquire.

Taking directions from the editor of Esquire, Sam Coleman.

DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE.

What's in your Christmas bag?

Christmas colors!

Check out more photos on Esquire or get their December issue :)

Are you getting in the Christmas mood? Honestly, how many times this past week have you told yourself "This is an early Christmas present for myself..."? I'm guilty as charged. Recently splurged on a travel make-up brush set from Bobbi Brown and a couple of bandage dresses. Not too much yet but I know its coming.

Charles' birthday is coming up in about 2 weeks so I'm pretty excited about that too! I'll also be hosting this huge countdown party in KL on New Years Eve before I take a week off in Bali!

I know this sounds cliché and we say this is almost every year, but for me, 2011 really went by faster than you can say F-I-T. Figuratively, that is. I was tidying my bookshelves the other day and found an old notebook where I wrote my goals for this year. I ticked off 9 out of 10 goals... which is personally a huge self-accomplishment that I feel good about.

The one thing that I'm still working towards? Getting more page hits on withlovefay.com ! But hey, I'm complaining. Having this blog has not only helped me to motivate myself on some days, it's also helped me with my career. To have a platform where I can share my thoughts, what I've learned and the things I'm passionate about is GREAT and to have an audience (readers) who remember me for that is even GREATER.

Fitness wise - I learn something new everyday and it's created an even deeper interest in nutrition and exercise. Which is why I am planning to get a personal training certification by next year and take up a course on diet and nutrition.

The key to staying focused is to keep yourself motivated with knowledge and good examples. The more you apply what you learn, the better you get at it and the more you'll love it. Good Habits create A Better Lifestyle ;)

That said, I'm done putting this off and I'm going to write my personal mantra and goals for 2012 right now! Have you done yours?
