What I Fed My Body This Morning…

Just a light breakfast before I head to the gym in an hour.

2 egg whites (with some white pepper on top for a 'kick'), 2 toasted wholegrain bread with olive grove spread on top and a cuppa vanilla yogurt on the side. May look plain but tastes hella good!

*Update: I'm trashing that vanilla yogurt. Too sweet!

P.S.: You may say this isn't enough but this beats having no breakfast at all; a habit you need to change! :P

Breakfast Foods – Flip

A reader would like to share with you his breakfast food... apparent his most importantly meal of the day.

It includes:
half a bowl of whole grain cereal
yogurt on top of the cereal
2 scoops of whey protein
and COL+ colostrum mixed in the protein drink

(about 5grams of fat, 800 calories, 60grams of protein, 80grams of carbs)

Sounds DELICIOUS! Perhaps choosing  plain yogurt would provide better health benefits and reduce your sugar intake since you are already getting that from the cereal. I personally find eating a small cup of plain yogurt more beneficiary than flavored ones every once in a while.

May Lowe would like to share with you what she has for breakfast...

"My breakfast is an old greek dessert. Its greek yogurt with honey, almonds (nut) and pistachios."

The yogurt and almonds may sound healthy but is it filling? You need lots of protein in the morning, girl! Try having something else to go along with that. And I sure hope you don't eat that everyday...

Thanks May!

BREAKFAST

2 pieces of french toast with maple syrup

1 glass of orange juice

LUNCH

smoked salmon salad @ Beviamo

4 glasses of water

DINNER @ Mimolette

half a bowl of mac & cheese

olio mixed vegetables

small piece of beef tenderloin steak

4 glasses of water

REPAIR

20 minutes on the stationary bike

1 set of 30 crunches on the workout ball

1 set of 30 crunches on the floor

1 set of 30 side crunches on the floor

footerEvaluation: Did pretty well at the gym, I'd say. First time I used the stationary bike and I liked it. 20 minutes of vigorous peddling and I burned more than 200 cals. Like the elliptical machine, the stationary bike provides a much lower impact on the joints unlike the treadmill. In fact, between the treadmill and the elliptical machine, the stationary bike causes the least amount of strain on your joints and is great for cardiovascular  workouts while it helps to increase your stamina.

I gave myself a treat to dinner at Mimolette. I highly recommend Mimolette for a dinner. The food is amazing as always. And the mac & cheese is a winner ;-) I do love my food.
