Do What You Love, Love What You Do
The first quarter of the year has gone by and now it's April already! How time flies. Around this time last year, I had just finished filming my first movie 'The Borneo Incident'. After a long anticipated wait, the film finally made its first premier last Thursday at the ASEAN International Festival in Kuching (Sarawak). I wasn't able to make it there, nor have I seen the movie myself, but according to Henry Golding, a big crowd attended the event. I hope they all enjoyed a good thriller

That's my scared face right there.
Earlier this year, I was in the Philippines to celebrate Christmas with Charlie's family in Manila and then New Year's Eve in Boracay with a bunch of our friends. Then it was back to work, as Brendan Gan and I shot a few more episodes of FourFourTwo Performance. Catch it every Saturday at 3pm on Astro Supersport (channel 811).

3 stripes, baby! Oh, and Promax... for you hardcore gym enthusiasts.
February came and there was a long holiday for Chinese New Year so Charlie and I decided to visit Hong Kong.

Love these shoes because I never have to tie the laces.

My favorite shirt on him.

And that's what I call a nice day.

Golden Moments In 2012
I hope everyone's had a great start to the new year. 2013. Wow. We made it. This blog has been running for 5 years now and I'm proud to say that a lot has been accomplished both personally and career-wise. I'm grateful to have such a great support team - you, Charles, my family, friends, people I work with, and all those who follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Your Likes, Comments, Retweets and letters continuously encourage me to pursue my goals and stay committed.
What you talk about, you bring about; and for me, it's health and fitness. I started my blog because I wanted to share my fitness journey - the struggles, the slip-ups and the rewards. Being healthy and staying fit is a choice I've made because it makes me feel empowered and strong. That's the kind of positive energy I'd like for myself to wake up with everyday and humbly influence on others.
Whatever your goals were in 2012, I hope you've achieved it and have set bigger ones this year.
Discipline comes hand in hand with willpower and determination. It's important re-evaluate your goals every so often to make sure you're still challenging yourself and taking note of any improvement or deficiency in your performance. There is no room for complacency in terms of goal setting - when you achieve one, it's time to make another if you hadn't already. However, nothing great is achieved without enthusiasm! Sometimes you gotta cut lose and, not put too much pressure on yourself so that you'll enjoy it. It's just as important to set small, achievable goals especially during the beginning of your fitness journey, as it is to set big ambitious long term goals.
Have a healthy and happy 2013.
With Love, Fay

A look back at 2012...

New Year's in Boracay.

Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadows.

With friends from all over the world. Jakarta, Hong Kong, US, London, Germany, Malaysia and Singapore.

A spontaneous shoot on a private beach in Boracay. Wearing the Malibu bikini from Soak Swimwear.

My travel companion. I always pack a few of these when I'm traveling. Rolled oats, nuts, dry fruits and honey. No sugar or preservatives. A healthy, tasty option is ready anytime.

How could I miss Movember? Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a mustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health.

Ticked off something from my bucketlist. 'Travel to anywhere in Europe'. This is Parc Guell in Barcelona. Majestic.

La Sagrada Familia.

The streets in Barcelona were always full of surprises.

Perfect weather. Made it hard to leave...

Amsterdam.

The weather was slightly gray in Amstedam. But it certainly had its charms.

Ticked off another thing from my bucketlist. 'Visit a castle.' This is Chateau De Chillon in Switzerland.

I couldn't help but think of Game of Thrones.

"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!"

Looking for your knight in shining armor?

Viewing Chateau De Chillon from outside.

Learned the true meaning of ‘Good Food, Good Life’. An Amazing Journey With Nestle. At their HQ in Switzerland.

Adidas Brings Out The Best Woman In You
I'm blessed! I've always been an adidas girl for as long as I've done sports so I was thrilled to hear that they wanted me to be a part of their new women's campaign. In line with their new Spring/Summer 2012 Sport & Style collection, the campaign is inspired by next generation athletes who embody the adidas brand anthem ‘adidas is all in’. Now I don't know about you, but when I put on my adidas, I feel like I'm ready to take on any challenge! That's exactly what this campaign is about - it's for women who dare.
So a few weeks ago, I did a video shoot with adidas. The video was released 2 weeks later at the media event held at Teeq & Rootz in Kuala Lumpur. Here it is...
Absolutely LOVED the campaign photos too!

Flexibility

Lightweight

Power

Originals
Some outtakes from the shoot...

Minimal make-up, high-tops & a whole load of ass-kicking.

I had quite a workout that day! It was pretty much a full-day of exercise, haha!
The media event was hosted by Hansen Lee and the show kicked off with this group of fitness instructors who definitely HAD THE MOVES!

At the media event showcasing the new adidas Spring/Summer 2012 Women’s collection. These girls did an amazing, high energy performance involving aerobics, dance and combat! Loved it!

Thank you for all the support and the love on my blog. I never expected that it would take me this far and I'm so grateful to YOU, my readers! YOU keep me going and this blog rolling. I'm pleased to share that I'm currently taking a personal training course with ACE Fitness (about time!) as I realized that THIS is what I really want to get into. So here's to another chapter in my fitness journey... Carpe diem!
Can You Relate To This?
You sit in your towel after a shower because you’re too lazy to get dressed. You and your best friend can say one word, and crack up. You hate when one string of your hoodie is longer than the other. You hate it when people think you like someone when you clearly don’t. You hate it when your favorite song comes on, as you pull into the driveway. You feel like if you turn on the lights, you will be safe from anything. You push those little buttons on the lids of fast-food drinks. You laugh until people get hurt, then stop when you realize it’s serious. You hate it when parents get serious about something funny you tell them. You hate when you tell a guy to shut up and they copy you in a higher voice. You pretend to sleep when your parents come in. You text the person next to you things that you can’t say out loud. You hate when people in front of you walk really slow and you can’t get past them. You’re always tired no matter how much sleep you get. You stop the microwave before it hits 00:00 to avoid hearing the beeps. You use the “sup” head nod. You just did the nod after you read it. You hate when you are mad at someone and they make you laugh. You check the fridge every now & then to see if food magically appeared.
NewMan Magazine August Issue: New It Girl
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS!
NewMan did a feature on 3 of KL's New It Girls and I am of them! Definitely a huge compliment to be called an 'It' girl and this is by far the most stylish and sophisticated shoot I've done to date.

A Fay To Remember - I see what you did there....

I get asked about my name in just about every interview... (I wonder how someone like Lady Gaga deal with that?)

Some behind-the-scenes: Make-up artist using airbrush foundation

I was so close to buying the whole wardrobe from the shoot... Especially loved this dress!
Thank you NewMan, thank you Malaysia.
My First Pug!
I've never really been into collecting toys or stuffed animals but when I saw this cute, fluffy little pug, I couldn't help myself...

Okay, so he's not real...

But since I promised myself that I'll name my first pug Yoda...

Here's Yoda!

I'm commited to Yoda forever <3
Isn't he adorable?
Dear Lovers, Don’t Be Tempted To Do This
So I was just trolling around (JK, I just really wanted to use that word) 9GAG.com and stumbled upon this. Just had to share. I have those moments too.

Just remember this...
