Life’s a beach. I’m an island kinda girl. Big things happen in the city, but when all else fails, it’s always nice to know that the ocean is bigger.

I’d take surfing over a closet full of shoes or clothes any day.

Sunset at the Batangas beach in Philippines was one of the most beautiful sunsets I’d ever seen.  (And yes, as you can tell by my arms, I’m double-jointed.)

I love horseback riding This was my first time riding a horse along the beach.

I love dressing up for Halloween!

Gummy candies are yummy. My weakness.

Sure, it has been both stressful & fun but most ultimately, I realized that I’ve been struggling to keep up with time and find it much harder to find the motivation to go to the gym after I get off work at 7pm every weekday. I still make it to muay thai on Tuesdays but I rarely make it to the gym on a weekday anymore.

But that doesn’t mean I have gotten lazy. It hasn’t stopped me from being active on the weekends when I usually catch up on sleep and work off those cream crackers I had been eating at my desk. I’ve probably gained about 3kg in the past months but I am ready to whip back into shape starting June 1st. Yes, you’ll be hearing more from me again! So much has happened in a past 6 months which I wasn’t sure if I should share about on my blog but I learned a few things from it which I am willing to spill. From a bad break-up to a recent eating disorder and finding a new sport that turned to be a favorite hobby and meeting someone really special and possibly moving out of Singapore by the end of summer… Well, there’s really too many things me and you need to catch up. I’ll write again soon. Thank you for being a loyal reader!

How I’ve been spending my weekends (besides a must-go-to-the-gym on Sundays):

Charles’ mom was visiting from California for a few days. I made some hearty sandwiches, brought some snacks & had a picnic @ the Botanical Gardens. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I usually go there at about 430pm when the sun is not too hot… Weather feels perfect everytime.

White wine, orange juice, marshmallows, dino-gummies, Arnotts’ biscuits, baby bels, turkey ham sandwich, mini Oreos & Spicy Nacho Doritos… my favorite foods!

Brunch @ Epicurious. I love it there!

Beach volleyball on Saturdays.

Beach fun @ The Shack’s closing party.

Lovely atmosphere and you can never feel bored in that store. There’s so much to look at.

FYI, if you feel comfortable and happen to like the furniture at the cafe, you can actually buy it! The tables and chairs are one of a kind and how cool is it that you can not only buy stuff from the store but you can also buy a piece OF the cafe!

You will find a number of pinchos (bite-sized snacks) on the menu that is a fusion of Spanish, Italian and some SouthEast Asian.

Yeah, we finished everything in that bowl. What?? It’s a mini!

I rarely ever drink protein shakes but if you have a good recipe you’re willing to share, I’d love to feature it here!

How many moments in life could you look back to and think ‘That’s when it all changed…’?

For me, that moment happened not too long.

There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment you must choose your direction. Will you fight to stay on the path while others tell you who you are? Or will you label yourself? Will you be honored by your choice? Or will you embrace your new path? Each morning you choose to move forward or to simply give up…

There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroad, afraid, confused, without a roadmap. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days. Of course when faced with the unknown, most of us prefer to turn around and go back.

Imagine a future moment in your life where all your dreams come true. You know it’s the greatest moment of your life and you get to experience it with one person. Who’s standing next to you?

The answers to these questions are closer than you think. You just need to have faith and keep believing in yourself. You’re all you’ve got after all.

I started off my New Years Eve celebration at the Fullerton Hotel with some of my good friends. Rachel had to book the loft suite 2 months in advanced, but man, we had the sweetest view of the fireworks without having to scuffle the horde of people on the streets! I love watching fireworks. There’s something magical about explosions in the sky…

Finally met Kenny Sia, who’ve been Twitter-friendly and uber generous with his dinner that night Nobody needs to know what we ate.

He remembered me as ‘Fay from withlovefay.com’ – which I thought was funny cute!

My New Years Resolutions:

♡ Be more in touch with nature.

♡ Follow my instincts with more conscientiousness.

♡ Floss more often.

♡ Learn and do something new every day.

♡  Trying is having the intention to fail. Use the word ‘try’ less often.

♡ Take down my clever philosophical quotes on my iPhone (even when intoxicated).

♡ Use less paper.

♡ Eat more yogurt, soy milk, oranges, kiwis and broccoli – all are my favorite. Who says you can’t have too much of the good stuff?

♡ Good karma derives from sincerity & honesty. Spread the love.
