I’ve found it! The PERFECT foundation for my skin color that has just the right texture, full-coverage and super long-lasting. And for only SGD29.90 (with a 20% discount when I bought it from Seiyu in Bugis/Singapore), it’s a quality product made affordable.

Super long-lasting. Up to 16 hours! I wore this out on NYE and even after all the sweating, my face/make-up didn’t look blotchy.

I tried out different foundations from Bobbi Brown, Chanel and Shiseido but I keep coming back to this one!

I tried out different foundations from Bobbi Brown, Chanel and Shiseido but I keep coming back to this one!

(I ran out of the Bobbi Brown foundation a while back so I didn’t include it in this comparison.)

  • CHANEL‘s Vitalumière foundation is a little more ‘liquidy’ compared to Revlon‘s ColorStay. It’s also slightly too dark for me. I’ve even tried this other foundation from Chanel which made me look ‘dusty’ and ashy. Well, Chanel’s foundation just doesn’t suit me.
  • Shiseido‘s Lifting Foundation is great for coverage but not ideal for everyday wear because it’s a little too thick and creamy. However, I use it over the ColorStay foundation (applied only on the t-zone and the area just above my cheekbones) to highlight and for maximum coverage during night time.

I like that the Revlon’s ColorStay foundation stays long-lasting even after a long day. It makes my skin feel breathable. Perfect for everyday use and so affordable. I can’t express how happy I am to have found THE ONE foundation 😉

If you’re looking for a good and cheap liquid foundation, try this one out and tell me that I’m not the only one crazy about it!

  1. I’m gonna try this!!!! I have been using L’oreal liquid foundation. But I just want t ask if Revlon colorstay foundation good for oil skin? My skin is so oily. And what powder are you using on top of the foundation. Thank you.

    1. I have combination skin (oily on the T-zone and normal on other areas) and it’s perfect for me! I use Shiseido’s loose powder from the Maquillage collection (in Pink Rose)

  2. I used Revlon Colorstay for a few years as a teenager, and I must say that your review is completely on the mark. It’s affordable, it’s GREAT for oily skin (got rid of my acne!) and it gives the same coverage as more expensive foundations.

I switched eventually cos they discontinued the shade I normally used, also my face changed from oily to dry as I got older.

I can’t say more than that besides that Revlon Colorstay is a winner.

  3. Wow nice. I have been searching for a while now and mostly either feels too thick or by midday when the oil appears on the t-zone it becomes blotchy. Will definitely try this out. Thanks! 🙂

  4. Greetings from Los angeles! I’m bored to death at work so I decided to browse your blog on my iphone during lunch break. I enjoy the knowledge you present here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home.
I’m amazed at how fast your blog loaded on my mobile .. I’m not even using WIFI,
just 3G .. Anyways, very good site!

  5. Hi great review! I’m looking for a foundation that doesn’t make you look pale on photographs!
I’m currently using estee layder double wear but keep looking pale on photographs. If anyone could let me know how their photos have turned out Revlon colour stay would be great!
