Do What You Love, Love What You Do

The first quarter of the year has gone by and now it’s April already! How time flies. Around this time last year, I had just finished filming my first movie ‘The Borneo Incident’. After a long anticipated wait, the film finally made its first premier last Thursday at the ASEAN International Festival in Kuching (Sarawak). I wasn’t able to make it there, nor have I seen the movie myself, but according to Henry Golding, a big crowd attended the event. I hope they all enjoyed a good thriller 😉

Earlier this year, I was in the Philippines to celebrate Christmas with Charlie’s family in Manila and then New Year’s Eve in Boracay with a bunch of our friends. 30 November 2012 — A new cutting edge gym that specializes in movement and functional training just opened up in Kuching and I had the honor of attending their grand opening to check out what they had in store for fitness enthusiasts!

Working out gives me energy, strength and confidence. You gotta sweat a little to get what you want and to keep it!

Currently Under Intense Training…

Phew! Excuse me while I try to catch my breath and wipe off this sweat because I just had an INTENSE workout today! Less than 2 more weeks to go before the end of the New Body Challenge so I gotta train even harder if I want to see RESULTS. My progress photos are looking good but between this week and last week’s photo, the difference isn’t much so I definitely need to step it up a notch…

I got a 6kg kettlebell which I use for working out at home!
I love using the PowerPlate especially to ease muscle soreness after a workout.
This is what my daily food intake typically looks like. I prepare all my meals at home so I know exactly what I’m putting into my food and to avoid the extra sprinkle of salt/sugar!
Pre & post workout nutrition. I’m also taking other supplements from Maximuscle and Maxitone which I’ll talk about in the New Body Challenge video when it’s out!

Don’t Procrastinate, Motivate!

I’M BACK! Been awhile, huh? I was starting to get comments, tweets and emails asking why I haven’t been around. I’d like to refrain from using the term ‘busy’ because people say that all the time, especially when you live in the city. So let’s just say I have been actively involved in other things such as…

1. I’m undergoing a Personal Training course  at FIT Malaysia. Classes are on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10am so I’m usually in bed by midnight and start my day around 7am.

Learning how to conduct a physical fitness test.

2. I’m working with Maxinutrition Singapore on a project called the New Body Challenge. It is a personal challenge for people to challenge themselves for 30 days to get a New Body. Jon Lee, Paul Foster & I are going on this fitness journey together with support from Maximuscle, Maxitone and True Fitness. The progress will be documented on video (and self-portrait photos) which will later be shared at the end of the 4 weeks. I’ve been training hard with Adrian, my badass PT at True Fitness (Kenanga). So stoked about this, I can’t wait to share the end result!

3. Getting better in the kitchen! There are plenty of good food here in Malaysia, especially in KL, but I still struggle to find healthy restaurants here so I’ve been spending more time in kitchen (Abs = 70% diet + 30% gym so eating clean is a very important factor of the New Body Challenge too).

Just made this today! Spicy garlic prawns & French beans with organic green tea noodles.

4. Hosting events, castings, writing emails, planning my schedule and other household chores… Hey, somebody’s gotta do it!
